ESF Innovation Fair 2026 is an inter-school STEM science fair open to Years 10 to 13 students. This event is designed to spark curiosity and support research in STEM. No prior expertise in STEM is required. Please visit this website and sign up via this form by Monday, 29 September 2025.
ESF International Evening 2025 will take place on 14 November at Renaissance College. This event celebrates the rich diversity of cultures within the ESF community. If you are passionate about sharing and representing a culture of your choice, please sign up via this form by Sunday, 13 October 2025.
ESF Limitless Programme for Year 9 offers a life-changing six-week journey in the Australian Outback to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. Find out more in this link and enrol before Monday, 29 September 2025, 5pm.

Inter-Dynasty Rowing

Thursday’s Inter-Dynasty Rowing brought our school community together for a meaningful celebration of sportsmanship and collaboration. Students and staff demonstrated vibrant energy and a spirit of friendly competition.

Performing Arts & Theatre Workshop

On Wednesday, Year 10 BTEC Performing Arts students and Year 13 IB Theatre students engaged in a dynamic workshop led by somatic movement educator, performer and director Noa Rotem. Together, they explored spatial relationships, topography and kinesthetic responses. Our students applied their viewpoints and leveraged the space as a powerful tool for devising original work. The drama studio was alive with curiosity, active participation and a shared passion for performance.

Pre-16 Leaders have been actively contributing to our Pre-16 community.

Recent initiatives include the introduction of student voice boxes, the Years 9 & 10 Mentoring Programme, and the initial planning of the Year 11 Prom Committee. Please log in to your student account to read more here.

World Scholar's Cup Award Ceremony

Our West Island School delegation began their journey at the Regional Round of the World Scholar’s Cup—a prestigious academic competition that unites students from around the globe in collaborative and intellectually challenging events. Through dedicated training and a shared passion for learning, our students proudly brought home over 102 medals and 3 trophies at the Global Round in Bangkok this week.

Congratulations to our students for their commitment, teamwork, and outstanding achievements!

CAS Corner

Last week, two Year 13 students interviewed the Executive Director of Bethune House, one of West Island School’s six Community Partners.

The conversation offered an eye-opening insight into Bethune House’s vital work supporting migrant women workers and advocating for their rights. Our students came away with a deeper understanding of how raising awareness is a powerful tool for driving positive change.

Well done to Emma, Mikayla and Nicole for leading this impactful CAS project.
