Weekly Highlights
This week, our students enjoyed building teamwork and bonds during their lunchtime inter-house cricket. We look forward to seeing them keep up the great work in next week's Inter-Dynasty futsal.
Two Teams of our Year 12 Business and Economics students participated in this year’s ESF Marketing Competition for secondary schools.
Our students were tasked with a real-world challenge for KMB, developing both a pet-themed event campaign and a tourism video advertisement. In a highly competitive field of 14 teams, we applaud the dedication and collaborative spirit our students showed. Great job, teams.
On Wednesday, a group of our students visited KGV School to participate in the ESF inter-school Sweatshop Challenge, an immersive simulation designed to raise awareness of modern slavery. Making the invisible visible, some student leaders and staff donned yellow high-visibility jackets, stepping into the roles of "factory supervisors" to mirror the pressures of the global supply chain.
"Although this simulation lasted only a short while, it opened my eyes to a cold, hard truth: many of the people who make our clothes, jewelry, and other everyday items are children who should not be working in factories for eleven hours straight. Moving forward, I will look at the clothes I buy with much more discernment and carefully consider the ethical implications of my choices." - Sean, Year 10
"The sweatshop simulation was an eye-opening experience. This powerful exercise brought global and ethical issues out of the textbook and into reality. It was a thought-provoking challenge that forced us to consider the harsh realities of global supply chains and the importance of ethical consumerism." - Charmaine, Year 12
On Thursday, our dancers competed in the K-pop and hip-hop dance competitions at DSC International School. Our students held their own against much older students, demonstrating their passion and joy for dance on stage. They received a fantastic response from the audience, and we are so proud of their hard work and confidence.
Last Friday, Year 11 Event Management students organised a cross-year event designed to strengthen student connections. Participants had a blast competing in a real-time digital game for the chance to win prizes. Our student organisers are now looking forward to collaborating with Dynasty leaders to scale up the tournament for future events.
On 8 March, Year 13 student Thambu won the Secondary section of the ISF Academy Chess Open. Thambu was delighted to lead a team of Year 7 students to represent West Island School. The team showed excellent teamwork and placed 3rd out of 25 schools.
Well done to Thambu and the Year 7 students: Zachary, Patrick, and Oliver.

In a hard-fought football match, our U20 Boys demonstrated incredible resilience. They maintained intense pressure on the opposition throughout the game and never let their spirits drop. It was a true test of character on the pitch, and the high level of teamwork displayed by our students has made us proud.
Year 10 student Ciara participated in a community sports challenge, Stride for Hope, and raised funds for a local charity to provide vital services for children and young girls. Well done to Ciara on her compassion and philanthropic spirit toward the wider community.
