During the final week of May, our Year 12 IB Diploma Science students participated in the ESF-wide Collaborative Science Project (CSP), a compulsory component of the IB curriculum. This three-day challenge fosters cross-subject teamwork. Students from various scientific subjects, including ESS, Physics, Chemistry, Food Science, Computer Science and Sports Science, combined their expertise to investigate global issues. Their diverse investigations ranged from pop-culture-inspired experiments to fundamental studies in alternative biofuels, insulation, and kinetic energy generation.
The culmination of their hard work was a vibrant exhibition, where students presented their findings to an enthusiastic audience of Year 7 and 8 peers. Congratulations to our award winners:

Best Science Prize: Group 13 – Felix, Brianna, Aastha, Marcus, Sophia and Hayden
The focus of the CSP is the learning and collaborative process over the final result. Our students developed the "transformational competencies" outlined in the OECD Future of Education and Skills report, which are essential attributes for success in the future workplace.

Our U12 Football girls ended their ISSFHK season with a brilliant tactical performance. After a scoreless first half, Chloe scored an amazing goal to put WIS ahead. Although the opponent's squad depth secured them a late 1-3 win, our team earned immense praise from opposing coaches and parents. What a fantastic, proud way to end the season!
Our U12B Boys team captured the bronze medal after a convincing win in their final match. This fantastic achievement was the result of incredible team effort, tireless hard work, and positive energy right until the final whistle. Their medals are well-deserved.

With this achievement, Haidi has now qualified to represent Hong Kong in three major senior international events: the Asian Championships (New Delhi, India), the World Championships (Hong Kong), and the Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya, Japan). Our Year 9 students, Asia, Sean and Zeyu, finished 3rd in the Space Technology Innovation Category at the 5th Hong Kong Youth Aerospace Innovation Competition, a key initiative supported by The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education.
Driven by a strong passion, they chose the "Space-based Power Station" project theme as a team. This gave them an incredible opportunity to take ownership of their learning, think critically and collaborate toward a common goal. Over the course of five weeks, they worked at their own pace to bring the project to life. In their respective roles, they significantly developed their skills in technical writing, presentation and public speaking.
