Our students achieved remarkable success in their I/GCSE and BTEC Level 2 examinations. An impressive 66% of our I/GCSE candidates attained the top grades of A*/9 and A/8, while 72% of BTEC Level 2 students secured Distinction*. 14 high performers achieved the highest possible grade (A*/9/Distinction*) in nine or more of their GCSE or BTEC subjects. Congratulations to our Year 12 students on these fantastic accomplishments, and we wish them every success as they embark on their Post-16 pathways.
On Tuesday, our Year 7 and 8 students explored the CAS Fair to gain a glimpse into the variety of opportunities within our Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) programme. Older students enthusiastically shared their past achievements, inspiring the younger year groups. Year 13 CAS project leaders also met with Year 12s last week to share their experiences, offering valuable guidance as the new cohort begins planning this core component of their Post-16 journey.
On Thursdays, performing arts enthusiasts across year groups gathered in our theatre and dance studio for workshop-style auditions for the upcoming school production. Students embraced the opportunity to collaborate, sharpen their talents, and share their passion for the stage. We look forward to their live performances on 2 and 3 December. Further details and ticketing information will follow later in the term.
Years 8 and 9 students completed their 'Box Set Challenge' during Term 3 (2025-2026), transforming ordinary cardboard into extraordinary miniature worlds inspired by their favourite movies, plays, and novels. Their imaginative craftsmanship is now featured in the D600 Art Corridor through the end of September. Well done to our young artists for brilliantly capturing narrative magic in miniature. All year groups are invited to visit the exhibition to explore these wonderful creations.
Dynasty QING enjoyed a Friday lunchtime pizza party to celebrate their House Champion victory from last school year. Gathering over slices, students and staff shared moments of joy while highlighting the strong camaraderie and sense of belonging that make our school community so special. We look forward to seeing that same vibrant energy shine across all Dynasty activities in the year ahead.
Year 11 students Simon and Macro were named finalists at the prestigious PolyU Design Hatch Competition. Their inventive STEM/STEAM learning tools impressed the judging panel with creative problem-solving and functional design.
Over the summer, Year 8 student Lydia delivered a standout performance across three ballet events. At the Asian Grand Prix (AGP) Hong Kong, she earned a Bronze medal, securing a partial scholarship to the Taiwan Asian Ballet Competition alongside an invitation to the AGP finals. She sustained this impressive momentum at Shenzhen’s SALA International Art Competition, claiming a Gold award and finishing second overall to win a full scholarship and a spot in the Shanghai finals. She gained further recognition with a Merit award at the HK Ballet Group Stars Award.
