Our students take part in a wide range of activities outside of school. This may include tutoring, sports clubs, charity work and competitions amongst other things. We recognise that these activities provide fabulous opportunities for growth and development but it is always important to check if the club, organisation or group have the right safeguarding policies and procedures in place.
The poster gives 5 key questions we would encourage you to consider before your child takes part in any non-school organised activity.

U14 (Division 1) team of Year 9 West Island school students have participated in this year's Junior Netball League organized by the Hong Kong Netball Association.
Our U14 team has advanced to the playoffs and eventually won a Silver Medal in Div 1 on last Sunday 16th March 2025.
U20 Boys Tennis had a draw (4-4) with playing against ISF (the Independent Schools Foundation).
The boys and girls basketball teams were in a 3X3 basketball tournament at Delia School of Canada on Saturday 15th March.
The Boys team finished second earning a silver medal, and the Girls A team won the tournament, getting a gold medal as well as the winners trophy.

James Li from Class 2024 is one out of 116 students in Hong Kong who has received a Jockey Club scholarship. A news story about the scholarship can be read here.
Year 7 Chaska Poon finished as the 2nd runner-up 3km Open Category Youth Male 2 Aged 10-12 running race at the new Kai Tak Sports Park, competing alongside over 3,200 runners.
