Principal's Message

Dear West Island community,

We are delighted with the results that our Year 12 students have achieved with (I)GCSE and BTEC. Sixty percent of them have achieved an A or A* level of results. A more detailed breakdown of the results can be found in a chart below.

To students and parents, we do not measure our students by the exam results—you are more than your scores, or any achievements.

We do, however, celebrate the success behind these results, which is a testament to the hard work and dedicated approach that our students have adopted in regards to their study.

And the other half of the story has been written by you—our parents, teachers and staff. Without your support for these students in the past three years, we wouldn’t have been able to see them as the positive and future-ready students they are today. So thank you for your dedication to our young people.

As we know that you may have been receiving many messages from the school, we would like to clarify the channel of school-wide communication.

To parents, please check both the ESF app and your emails for school-related information sent out to you.

To students, please check your emails and the student bulletin for information sent to you.

Please see below for the school’s latest news. And as events such as Star Search and Diwali Ball are upcoming in the next few weeks, we encourage students to take part in them. Many opportunities for your growth can be found and supported, if you take a risk to give it a try. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve this upcoming year.

Wishing you a happy weekend.

"We've designed a food donation organisation called REFOOD, starting from brainstorming what brings us happiness to designing a full brand identity: crafting websites, 3D printed figurines, creating logos and lockups... The project includes depth beneath, breaking through visual communication.

"We've applied our organisation in the real world, where the circular economy runs, where consumers have their journeys when committing in our product, where an entire system structures our organisation. To bring the project to life, we visited Kennedy School at the end of the school year to advocate to children the importance of food donation and food waste through lino printing and printing on tote bags. Finally, we've delivered our presentation to designers and professors at PolyU and won the communication design category. "
